Set on a 50’ × 180’ linear plot, this home for a family of four transforms an apparent constraint into its defining strength. Conceived as a ribbon-like spatial experience, the house is organized as two parallel bays connected along a north-south axis and punctuated by courtyards that dissolve the boundary between inside and outside.
Public spaces occupy the eastern bay, while private spaces unfold along the west, each opening into landscaped courts that balance social interaction with moments of solitude. A carefully choreographed sequence of compressed and expansive volumes, double heights, filtered light, and seamless transparency, guides movement through the house, culminating in a serene rear court envisioned as the emotional heart of the home.
Expressed as a long, minimalist form with sharp chamfered edges and restrained materiality, the architecture embraces clarity, warmth, and timeless simplicity; rooted in the belief that “Emptiness in architecture is not empty, but full !!!”
