Founded by Ar. Sheetal and Ar. Sachin Patil, the studio brings together a collective of architects and designers driven by collaboration, curiosity, and a deep commitment to human-centric design.

 

Ar. Sheetal Patil graduated from Shri Shivaji College of Engineering & Technology, Akola (COETA), in 2002 while, Ar. Sachin K. Patil graduated from Shri Prince Shivaji College of Architecture (CAK), Kolhapur,  in 1998. 

They’ve both gained invaluable experience under the mentorship of renowned architects, Ar. B. V. Doshi in Ahmedabad, Ar. Girish Doshi in Pune, and Ar. Hirante Welandawe in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

 

At Manthan Design Studio, architecture is practiced not just as a profession, but a way of life. The founding partners are deeply inspired & guided by the insight of Ar. B. V. Doshi:

Driven by the belief & commitment, that design should enrich everyday experiences, the studio creates spaces that respond thoughtfully to people, context, and aspirations.

 

We see architecture as a quiet backdrop to life: enriching everyday experiences without overpowering them. Our role is not to dictate how people live, but to facilitate their living, by creating environments that feel intuitive, effortless, enduring, and nurturing a sense of belonging.
